The Guerin Law Firm Prevails in Corporations Code Section 2000 Proceeding

Regis Guerin litigated a Corporations Code section 2000 proceeding to a successful conclusion for his client, a 20% minority shareholder in a small closely held corporation. The result to the client was approximately 300% of the previous buyout offer for his shares. The Corporations Code section 2000 proceeding included compensation to The Guerin Law Firm's client for derivative claims, which included Breach of Fiduciary Duty, Fraud and Deceit, Abuse of Control, and Corporate Mismanagement and Waste.

The Guerin Law Firm Settles Corporate Dispute On Behalf Of Closely Held Family Corporation

Regis Guerin recently represented a closely held company in a dispute between a former director for derivative and individual claims against the corporation and individual board members and shareholders. Mr. Guerin represented the company in suing the former director for Breach of Fiduciary Duty, Fraud and Conversion based upon the former director's taking of substantial funds from the corporation without board approval. The Guerin Law Firm Successfully Tries Partition And Partnership Dispute Case

Regis Guerin recently tried a two-month bench trial in the Ventura County Superior Court, with the Court issuing a Statement of Decision in favor of Mr. Guerin's client.  Mr. Guerin obtained a judgment of partition for his client, in addition to a complete defense verdict on several claims against her.  Mr. Guerin's client was named as the prevailing party in the complex litigation. The Guerin Law Firm Settles Lemmy Kilmister Trust Matter On Behalf Of Paul Kilmister

The Guerin Law Firm litigated and successfully settled a breach of fiduciary duty/trust litigation matter on behalf of Paul Kilmister, the son of Lemmy Kilmister of the hard rock band, Motorhead.  The litigation was hard fought and settled at a mediation for a substantial sum.
